Nepal 3 Passes
If you are into Himalayan trekking, this one's a must do. If seeking to soak in a lot more of the beauty of the Khumbu region, and 3x the Everest Base Camp trek, it's worth doing the 3 passes trek.
Flying into Lukla, trekking through Tengboche, Pangboche, day trips to Ama Dablam Base Camp, Island Peak Base Camp, hitting that breathtaking climb to Chukung Ri - then passes - Kongma La and Cho La, crossing glaciers and hitting EBC and Gokyo, crossing Renjo La, to finally lose altitude.
Be prepared for multiple 10-12 hours of trekking. And do ensure you are really fit to get through this one.
For added challenge, doing the 3 passes in the reverse order is recommended. I still am entertaining that enticing idea :)
Tour of Karnataka - 6th Edition
Tour of Karnataka, Annual Cycling Event - 2020 As the official photographer, covering the 6th edition of this 4-day annual event had my cameras covering an amazing bunch of cyclists. Flagging off from Hassan, they rode through super scenic stretches through Chikmagalur, Udupi, Kudremukha and ended with a thrilling uphill race to the finish line in Kodchadri.
A tough bunch of men and women, letting their grit and determination play on the fore.
Varanasi
Varanasi (old town) is like going into a time machine - it lets you travel back in time. Time moves at a different pace. and an enchanting aura envelops you here. The narrow streets let you buy a variety of things, and even offers famous lassi that you can sip and watch people carrying the dead to the chants of 'Ram naam satya hai'.
You can spent an eternity on the Ghats alongside the Ganga - watch life or watch the holy river flow.
Mahabalipuram
A sweet little town between the Bay of Bengal and the Great Salt Lake, Mahabalipuram is a town seeped in 7th and 8th-century architecture. Temples and monuments were built by the Pallava dynasty, and the story goes that there were 7 temples along the shore, of which most went undersea centuries ago.
A massive tsunami that hit the coastline in 2004 caused massive destruction, and also revealed parts of the old port city. It also confirmed the presence of 6 more temples along the coastline.
